more stuff

The knitted cushion was made up into a cushiom. It was originally the back of a jumper I was knitting years ago. It was another that was made up as I went along. I couldn't remember the pattern so I decided to add ribbing to the top and bottom and made into into the cushion. The jewel blanket in front of it is single size and was from an american hard back pattern book I borrowed from the library about 6 years ago. I would love to be able to find the pattern again..

These three cushions finaly got made earlier this year, I love roses and had done the cross stitches over a period of years. The mini quilt was made from rose patterned fabric and was made up as I went along. It was made using the English paper pieced technique. The heart is embroidered on a 6" calico square as part of a group of squares for a 'caring heart' project. There are over a thousand french knots. I must have been bored that week, but it was case of 'now I've started I'll have to finish it' . Again no set pattern just made it up as I went along.

The stripey blanket was made from odd balls that I had found all over the house, this grew really quickly and i loved doing it. It was perfect as a knee rug for Mik in the winter.

  1. Jan your knotted cushions remind me of a couple I did a few years back and donated to a Craft Stall at a Ritirement Village where Ken's parents lived.
(Sorry no pics exist it was pre digital and puter days)
Anyway I got an urgent call....can you make another two in three days? I never wanted to do another french or colonial knot after that effort!
