another boring day

Wet windy and miserable. Thats me now for the weather report heheheheh. Finished off putting the hanger on the wonderful quilt that my craft forum friends and others made me and mik. Tomorrow it gets hung in the bedroom. It is a beautiful piece of work, all in purples and crazy quilted. It came to us when we were at our lowest and every time we look at it it raises our spirits. I also finished the main part of the cardi I've been doing for 4 yrs, all I have to do is stitch it up and then knit up the bands. Then its on to the crocheted hexagon quilt in grandmother flower garden pattern. It was started two winters ago and as we have just had winter the chances that it will cover my beloved and keep him next winter are pretty slim. But if I hurry and get it done this weekend it can go over the bottom of the bed and keep his tootsies warm on the occassional cool evenings we still get in spring. Then its on to the gingham blue crocheted knee rug I started three winters ago. These things take up so much of my craft room I just want to get them out of the way and into the bedding box. I have a hexagon paper pieced quilt half made, it has over 4000 tiny hexogons so far. I do a bit every so often, its like a mandala and its my beloveds favourite, I've been working on it for over 8 years now and he enjoys seeing how its grws and changes all the time. The black on it as faded but this will be covered by applique hexagon flowers. When I fathom out how to get photo's in here I'll post a piccy.

I love hearing what you have to say, at least I know then that I am not waffling along all on my own. Is there anybody out there............
