Roses....

This is the quilt that my beloved was wrapped in, it was intended for our bed and Mik used to joke that it would never be finished, he patiently followed me around craft stores and garage sales in my search for rose patterned fabric and he watched in fascination as the quilt grew. It went from a small hexagon to a star, back to a hexagon then a very large diamond shape with a 10 inch black border made of small hexagons. I was going to make a similar star pattern for each side of the diamond and then bring it to an oblong shape. I have a few shapes left and tiny scraps of material so I will make a smaller version of it.
It was made with love and it was given with love.
